Volkswagen Group and FAW Group have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, heralding a fresh chapter in their partnership. From 2026 onwards, the duo plans to introduce an impressive lineup of 11 new models to the Chinese market, comprising 6 pure electric vehicles, 2 plug-in hybrids, and 2 extended-range electric vehicles. Notably, the Jetta brand will debut its maiden pure electric vehicle, poised to grace the market in 2026. To cater to the evolving needs of Chinese consumers, Volkswagen will leverage local R&D capabilities to expedite its transformation towards intelligent connectivity. Furthermore, between 2025 and 2027, Volkswagen aims to launch approximately 40 new vehicles, with over half of them being electrified products, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
