BMW China and Huawei Devices have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at introducing advanced digital services, including BMW Digital Key, HUAWEI HiCar, and the MyBMW App, to the Chinese market. Leveraging HarmonyOS NEXT, the BMW Digital Key feature is anticipated to be rolled out within the current year. Furthermore, the seamlessly integrated HUAWEI HiCar is scheduled to be integrated into locally manufactured BMW new-generation models by 2026.
