In March 2025, NASA had initially intended to send four fresh astronauts to the International Space Station and repatriate astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who had been stranded in space for over nine months, aboard SpaceX's "Dragon" spacecraft on the Crew-10 mission scheduled for the 14th. Unfortunately, due to technical issues with the rocket, the mission was abruptly canceled on March 12, pushing the launch date back to no earlier than the end of March. Earlier, construction delays of the spacecraft had already postponed the launch from its original September 2024 date, extending the two astronauts' stay in orbit to almost 290 days. Regarding the safety of Boeing's Dreamliner, experts have expressed concerns, suggesting that NASA opted for SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft for this mission out of safety considerations.
