March 13, 2025 — Zhijie Auto issued an official statement on March 12 in response to a viral complaint video circulating on social media platforms regarding the Zhijie S7 model. The statement firmly denied the claim made in the video that "intelligent driving was out of control." According to reports, the incident occurred in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, at approximately 13:40 on January 25, 2025, when the vehicle was involved in a traffic accident. Following the accident, Zhijie Auto promptly assisted the user in managing related issues.

With the user's explicit authorization, a preliminary analysis of backend data revealed that the navigation system had indeed planned a right turn at the upcoming intersection. However, as the vehicle approached the intersection, the accelerator pedal was continuously depressed, preventing the system from decelerating in advance. Just before the scheduled right turn, the intelligent driving system disengaged due to the activation of the brake pedal, and control of the vehicle was seamlessly transferred back to the driver. Unfortunately, despite the driver's control, the vehicle collided due to excessive speed (62 km/h) while entering the curve.
