On March 12, Hesai Technology announced a multi-year exclusive partnership with a leading European Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), supplying high-performance, ultra-long-range LiDAR for its next-generation automotive platforms, encompassing a diverse range of conventional and new energy vehicles. Sources close to the matter have revealed that the OEM in question is none other than Mercedes-Benz. This collaboration signifies a long-term initiative extending beyond 2030 and marks the largest overseas pre-installed mass-produced LiDAR order to date. Mercedes-Benz intends to integrate this Chinese-made technology into its globally distributed intelligent driving vehicle models.
