On March 12, the Hangzhou Economic and Information Technology Bureau in Zhejiang Province revealed that the testing area for intelligent and connected vehicles in Hangzhou has undergone another expansion. This latest enlargement encompasses 1,821 square kilometers in Fuyang District and 1,825 square kilometers in Tonglu County, bringing the total area of Hangzhou's autonomous driving test region to 6,910 square kilometers. This expansive territory now positions Hangzhou as having the largest intelligent and connected vehicle testing area in China. The city aspires to establish a city-wide testing zone and anticipates opening road tests and innovative applications for intelligent and connected vehicles throughout the city by next year.
