Lixiang Automobile has officially launched its proprietary ‘Lianshan’ electric system, which seamlessly integrates three key elements: cutting-edge batteries, high-performance electric drives, and a self-developed ultra-fast charging network. In tandem with this, Lixiang has introduced the Lianshan Battery Protection Plan, providing two lifetime guarantees for both new and current vehicle owners. Firstly, if a vehicle is deemed scrapped due to spontaneous combustion triggered by quality issues in the in-house battery, Lixiang will compensate with a new vehicle of identical configuration. Secondly, in the event of a vehicle being scrapped due to fire caused by battery collision or undercarriage scraping, Lixiang will cover any shortfall in insurance payouts. Built on six years of in-house technological expertise, the ‘Lianshan’ system ensures battery safety through comprehensive full-chain data traceability and multiple layers of safety protection, effectively preventing thermal runaway fires for up to 24 hours. Furthermore, it leverages a range of technologies to strike an optimal balance between rapid charging, extended range, and battery longevity. The extended-range models boast a pure electric range of up to 430 kilometers, while the pure electric models offer a maximum range of 780 kilometers. Enhanced algorithms also optimize performance in low-temperature conditions. The in-house electric drive enhances both range and reliability through innovative technologies, with clear upgrade objectives set for the next-generation electric drive. In terms of energy replenishment, Lixiang has established a significant number of ultra-fast charging stations and plans to further intensify the ultra-fast charging network along highways and border roads, while also implementing fully automated ultra-fast charging solutions. The entire system is designed with a focus on ‘stability,’ with the automaker taking a proactive stance in assuming greater responsibilities and costs.
