There has been an official ban on the use of the so-called 'Little Blue Light' in L2-level intelligent driving systems. On October 20, the No.1 Department of the Equipment Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 'Installation Requirements for External Lighting and Light Signaling Devices on Motor Vehicles and Trailers (Draft for Public Comment)'. This document clearly stipulates that vehicles not equipped with L3-level or higher autonomous driving systems are prohibited from installing ADS (Autonomous Driving System) marker lights. Furthermore, it specifies that the designated color for ADS marker lights should be bluish-green. Previously, L2-level assisted driving signal lights predominantly featured a blue hue.
