On October 20th, news emerged that the inaugural domestically-engineered Robotaxi prototype, a collaborative effort between Cao Cao Mobility and Geely Automobile, has successfully rolled off the production line. This milestone signifies the project's transition into the practical validation stage, aiming to develop solutions ready for large-scale manufacturing. Designed to comply with L4 autonomous driving standards and enable driverless operations, the vehicle leverages Geely's cutting-edge AI 2.0 technology suite. It is outfitted with a 2160-line digital LiDAR system, capable of detecting obstacles up to 600 meters away. As per the roadmap, the bespoke EvaCab model tailored for Cao Cao Mobility is slated to commence mass production in 2027, with an ambitious target of deploying 100,000 units by 2030.
