On October 16, in a strategic move to streamline the overall planning and foster long-term growth within the automotive sector of China Changan Automobile Group, Zhu Huarong will step down from his executive roles at Chongqing Changan Automobile and its affiliated subsidiaries. However, he will retain his positions as Party Secretary and Chairman of China Changan Automobile Group. Zhao Fei, previously serving as President of Changan Automobile, has been elevated to the role of Chairman. Meanwhile, Ye Pei, the Executive Vice President, has assumed the presidency. Changan Automobile has clarified that this leadership reshuffle is aimed at refining market-oriented strategies, honing in on global operations, and propelling the company towards high-quality development. Notably, in September 2026, Changan Automobile successfully transitioned to its tenth board of directors, with both Zhu Huarong and Zhao Fei being reappointed as Chairman and President, respectively. At present, Zhu Huarong is 60 years old.
