On October 16, Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA announced the expansion of their strategic collaboration to jointly develop next-generation driver assistance and autonomous driving systems. The collaboration will integrate Mercedes-Benz's automotive engineering expertise, MB.OS operating system, along with NVIDIA's Hyperion computing and sensor architecture, Alpamayo full-stack driving software, and Halos safety system, to advance functionalities such as urban assisted driving, active safety, and automated parking, while also preparing for SAE Level 4 autonomous driving applications. Additionally, both parties will deepen the application of NVIDIA's technologies in automotive engineering simulation and Mercedes-Benz's digital production system MO360, aiming to enhance the efficiency, flexibility, and quality of the global production network.
