On October 15, BAIC BluePark disclosed that its majority-owned subsidiary, BAIC New Energy, intends to bolster its capital base and broaden its shareholding structure by going public on the Beijing Equity Exchange, thereby attracting external investors. The maximum amount targeted for this capital increase is 500 million yuan, with the proceeds earmarked for replenishing the working capital essential for the company's day-to-day operations. This strategic move has already received the green light from the board of directors and now awaits the shareholders' meeting for further deliberation and approval.
Furthermore, BAIC BluePark, in collaboration with its principal shareholder, BAIC Group, has outlined plans to collectively inject additional capital amounting to no more than 1.638 billion yuan. Specifically, BAIC BluePark will contribute up to 1 billion yuan, while BAIC Group will add up to 638 million yuan. Post-capital increase, BAIC BluePark is set to retain its controlling stake in BAIC New Energy.
