On October 15, reports emerged that the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park recently hosted ceremonies to mark the commencement of nickel downstream industry projects, the initiation of commercial operations, and the first export shipment of electric vehicle batteries. Tinci Materials’ electrolyte project in Indonesia is progressing at an accelerated pace, with trial production anticipated in December 2026. As the inaugural lithium-ion battery electrolyte project within the park, it will be executed by Tinci Materials Indonesia, boasting a planned annual production capacity of 20,000 tons. This project will supply essential materials for the park’s battery industry supply chain and bolster Tinci Materials’ localized supply capabilities across Southeast Asia.
