Based on the analysis conducted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, during the first three quarters of 2026, China's automobile production and sales volumes experienced a slight decline, with the market showcasing a trend of 'cooling domestically and heating up abroad'. The domestic automobile market continued to grapple with pressure from multiple factors, and the anticipated improvement remained insignificant. Despite a complex external environment, automobile exports sustained rapid growth, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Concurrently, new domestic growth drivers continued to emerge, and the proportion of new energy vehicle sales increased steadily. In September 2026, automobile production and sales volumes reached 2.99 million and 2.956 million units, respectively, marking an 11.4% and 9% month-on-month increase, but a 8.7% and 8.4% year-on-year decrease. Over the first three quarters of 2026, automobile production and sales volumes reached 23.246 million and 23.271 million units, respectively, both representing a 4.5% year-on-year decrease.
