The brake pedal testing of the Zunjie V800 by Dongchedi has ignited fervent online debates. On the evening of October 8, Zunjie Auto released a statement, asserting that its development and verification criteria for the braking system surpass both national and industry benchmarks. Nevertheless, the company intends to enhance the design of the pedal components and offer complimentary upgrades to owners of already delivered vehicles. Earlier, Dongchedi's tests revealed that the brake pedal brackets of three Zunjie V800 cars all broke during emergency braking tests conducted from a speed of 100km/h to a complete stop. On October 11, the inspection results from a third-party testing agency indicated that the brake pedals of Zunjie V800 complied with the QC/T 788-2018 standard, showing no cracks or damage after undergoing rigorous testing with a longitudinal force of 3000N. Zunjie Auto's customer service mentioned that the upgrade plan is anticipated to be finalized by the end of October, with the upgrade process commencing in November. New vehicles that have not yet been dispatched will be directly fitted with the new components.
