On September 22, at the 2026 Intel Technology Innovation and Industrial Ecosystem Conference, Deepal Auto and Intel announced the joint development of an AI BOX, powered by the Intel Core Ultra solution. This innovative device is set to be installed in the new special edition of Deepal L06, marking a significant milestone in the automotive industry. It represents the inaugural introduction of PC-level on-device AI computing capabilities within the cabin of vehicles in the 150,000-yuan price range.

The AI BOX boasts a range of advanced features, including on-device large model processing, voiceprint recognition, and AI-driven panoramic sound. To prioritize user privacy and security, all user behavior data is stored locally on the device. In terms of safety, the AI BOX is designed to proactively detect low-lying obstacles, thereby mitigating the risks associated with door opening and parking-related scratches.

From an interaction standpoint, the seamless integration of visual perception and on-device AI technology enables the cabin to gain a deeper understanding of user preferences and habits. Furthermore, the vehicle's screen supports the download of a vast array of applications, enhancing the overall user experience. Additionally, the AI panoramic sound algorithm has the capability to convert standard stereo sound into real-time, 360-degree immersive panoramic sound, creating an unparalleled auditory experience for passengers.
