On September 19, it was reported that Huawei is internally adjusting its strategy for the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. According to individuals with knowledge of the situation, this Monday, Xu Qinsong, President of Huawei's China Consumer Business Group, explicitly stated in a speech to all employees engaged in the Smart Selection Vehicle program that efforts should be directed towards establishing the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance as a prominent brand. Xu Qinsong mentioned that the authorized entities for certain Huawei commercial supermarket stores will transition from Huawei to Seres, and the authorization model might shift from 'triple-brand authorization' to 'AITO authorization,' with Seres operating autonomously. In response, sources close to Huawei clarified that this does not signify a breakdown in cooperation between the two entities. Xu Qinsong stressed during an internal meeting that AITO will not fully disengage from the distribution system of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. Specifically, while advancing the establishment of an independent sales network for AITO, a certain percentage of stores will continue to offer AITO models in shared showrooms under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance umbrella, thus preserving the system-level connection between the two parties.
