On September 18, reports surfaced indicating that the Tesla team arrived in Ningbo on September 16 and embarked on a new round of factory audits for mass production in its robot business on September 17. The objective of this audit is to streamline the mass production process for the robot Optimus, with relevant orders already dispatched to supply chain enterprises.

It's worth noting that last September, Tesla also conducted robot factory audits in China, involving traditional automotive supply chain enterprises like Tuopu Group and Sanhua Intelligent Controls. A representative from Tuopu Group, when contacted, stated that they had not yet received a notification from Tesla regarding the factory audit. They mentioned that Tesla's R&D personnel are permanently stationed at the Ningbo factory, overseeing both automotive and robot businesses. The two companies have established cooperation in areas such as linear and rotary actuators, as well as dexterous hand actuators, with the robot component base already prepared.

Meanwhile, a staff member from Sanhua Intelligent Controls expressed unawareness of the specifics of Tesla's new round of factory audits. However, they confirmed that the company is collaborating with major clients in the development of robot joint actuators.
