Lucid (LCID) shares surged significantly. The company has forged a partnership with Europe's ride-hailing platform Bolt, planning to deploy at least 25,000 autonomous vehicles in major European cities, marking Lucid's first foray into autonomous taxi services outside the U.S. market. Under the agreement, Bolt will leverage Lucid's upcoming mid-size vehicle platform to build an autonomous taxi network. These vehicles will be equipped with NVIDIA's Hyperion autonomous driving architecture, meeting SAE Level 4 autonomous driving standards, meaning the vehicles can operate without a driver under certain conditions, the same standard as vehicles from Alphabet's Waymo.
