On September 17, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a recall notice announcing that Chrysler is set to recall 97,349 units of the Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and their respective L models. This recall encompasses the 2022-2025 model years of the Wagoneer, the 2022-2026 model years of the Grand Wagoneer, the 2023-2025 model years of the Wagoneer L, and the 2023-2026 model years of the Grand Wagoneer L. The recall was prompted by concerns that the pivot bolts securing the roof rack crossbars may not have been adequately tightened, creating a potential hazard of the crossbars detaching and thereby posing a threat to road safety.
