On September 16, 2025, Volkswagen rolled out the brand-new ID.3 GTI, ushering the iconic GTI badge into the electric age and marking it as the most potent mass-produced model in Volkswagen's 50-year GTI legacy. The car is set to hit the European and UK markets in the first quarter of 2027, with pre-sales slated to kick off in early 2027. At present, Volkswagen has no intentions of bringing the ID.3 series to the U.S. market.
