The U.S. automotive manufacturing industry is set to embrace new regulations. Recently, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 'AM Radio in Every Vehicle Act' with a bipartisan overwhelming majority. The bill mandates the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to formulate regulations requiring automakers to include traditional amplitude modulation (AM) radio as a standard feature in all newly manufactured or imported passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs, without charging consumers additional fees or subscription service charges.
