At its technology unveiling event, Leapmotor proudly declared that its in-house-developed World Model Intelligent Driving Assistance System has attained a pioneering status within the industry. This cutting-edge system is set to be seamlessly integrated across all models built on the A, B, C, and D platforms, with the added bonus of upgrade opportunities for existing vehicle owners.
As far back as October 2025, Leapmotor embarked on a research and development odyssey, exploring three distinct technical routes: Intelligent Driving 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0. Earlier this year, third-party testing unveiled that Intelligent Driving 4.0 emerged triumphant, boasting a takeover rate that is a mere one-third of that achieved by leading automakers, a testament to its superior performance.
Following multiple rounds of refinement, Intelligent Driving 4.0 now harnesses the power of a one-stage end-to-end World Model. This advancement significantly bolsters its game-theoretic interaction capabilities and response speed, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive driving experience. In 2024, Leapmotor took a bold step forward by establishing the Intelligent Technology Research Institute, laying the foundation for a 100% self-developed closed-loop system.
Leapmotor's strategic roadmap is crystal clear: it aspires to ascend to the top tier of intelligent driving by 2026, propel the commercialization of L3-level technology by 2027-2028, and concurrently amass L4-level technological prowess. Thanks to cost optimizations within the 4.0 architecture, this groundbreaking technology can now be extended to A-platform models priced at the 100,000-yuan mark, making intelligent driving more accessible than ever.
Furthermore, Leapmotor has exciting news for its customers: starting next year, it will offer quarterly free upgrades of the World Model to 350,000 LiDAR-equipped vehicle models, including the 2024 C16, C11, C10, and other popular choices.
