On September 7, the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Shanghai) disclosed the detailed arrangements concerning the Beijing Auto Show and the Shanghai Auto Show. In light of concerns raised within the industry, CCPIT Shanghai, in collaboration with the automotive sector's CCPIT, conducted several rounds of discussions and convened a dedicated coordination meeting on September 3. Guided by the principles of openness, pragmatism, a holistic perspective, and mutual benefit, both entities engaged in in-depth consultations on the standardized organization and collaborative efforts for the two prominent auto shows, ultimately achieving significant consensus.
Both parties concurred to uphold the current schedule of hosting comprehensive auto shows in alternating odd and even years. Specifically, the Beijing Auto Show in March 2027 will be presented as a specialized themed exhibition. This strategic arrangement not only perpetuates a long-standing exhibition framework but also facilitates the efficient coordination of industry resources, prevents redundancy in exhibition functions, and thereby, more effectively supports the high-quality advancement of the automotive industry.
