This recall, set to commence on August 22, 2026, encompasses specific batches of vehicles produced within three distinct timeframes: Xiaopeng G6 models manufactured from April 7, 2023, to December 22, 2025 (totaling 134,588 units); Xiaopeng P7+ models produced from July 23, 2024, to December 10, 2025 (94,688 units in total); and Xiaopeng X9 models crafted from August 8, 2023, to September 26, 2025 (with a total of 35,566 units).

The underlying cause for this recall is the similarity in color between the emergency mechanical handles within the vehicles and the interior trim, which renders them challenging to distinguish and operate. In critical scenarios, such as a severe collision that results in the failure of the vehicle's entire low-voltage system, this could impede the occupants' ability to swiftly open the doors and evacuate, thereby presenting a potential safety risk. To mitigate this hazard, Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. will provide and affix warning labels to the affected vehicles free of charge.
