On August 21, news surfaced indicating that Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. has formally filed a recall proposal with the State Administration for Market Regulation. This action is in strict compliance with the "Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automotive Products" and its corresponding enforcement guidelines, bearing the recall identification number S2026M0102V. The recall is slated to commence on August 24, 2026, targeting specific Zeekr 007 and Zeekr X vehicles manufactured between March 1, 2023, and May 21, 2026, encompassing a total of 92,658 units. The root cause of this recall stems from the emergency mechanical handles within these vehicles, which closely resemble the interior trim in color, thereby rendering them challenging to distinguish and operate. In extreme scenarios, such as a violent collision that results in the complete failure of the vehicle's low-voltage system, this design flaw could potentially impede the occupants' ability to escape and hinder rescue operations by external parties, thus constituting a significant safety risk.
