On August 21, Chongqing Zhangxue Motorcycle Industry Co., Ltd., adhering to the relevant regulations and their implementing measures, submitted a recall proposal to the State Administration for Market Regulation, bearing the recall number S2026M0061V. The proposal outlines the immediate recall of 286 units of the 2026 model 820RR motorcycles, manufactured between April 3 and April 21, 2026. The recall is necessitated by an assembly error in the engine's pressure relief valve O-ring seal. This error leads to deformation and subsequent damage of the seal, causing the pressure relief valve assembly to loosen, resulting in oil leakage and inadequate lubrication. Such conditions may trigger malfunctions including connecting rod seizure, crankcase rupture, and engine failure. In severe cases, these issues could potentially cause the rider to lose control and fall, thereby posing a significant safety risk.
