Denza Auto, a subsidiary of BYD, has officially declared that pre-sales for its tech-luxury intelligent sedan, the Denza Z9S, will kick off on August 3 at 7:30 PM. Regarding its design, the Denza Z9S comes equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR system, an intelligent driving indicator known as the 'little blue light', semi-hidden door handles, and a retractable rear spoiler. The rear of the vehicle is likely to showcase an illuminated logo. Inside, the car features a two-tone cabin in purple and white, complemented by a floating central console screen and a large dashboard panel with a piano-finish. It may also offer a suede roof, maintain a select few physical buttons, and boast wraparound seats. The new sedan has a wheelbase of 3,025mm and is designed to accommodate five passengers. It will be available in two powertrain variants, both sharing the same length and width but differing slightly in height. The lower-powered version measures 5,090mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,510mm in height, with a curb weight of 2,250kg. It is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor manufactured by BYD Zhengzhou, boasting a peak power of 320kW and a rated power of 160kW. This variant is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, a standard panoramic sunroof, and an Event Data Recorder (EDR), with optional features such as an electric rear spoiler. The higher-powered version, on the other hand, measures 5,090mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,490mm in height, with a curb weight of 2,545kg. Its motor delivers a peak power of 370kW and a rated power of 185kW. Both versions of the Denza Z9S are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 250km/h.
