How to File an Apple Settlement Claim

Applicants will need to provide basic personal information. This includes their name, address, and phone number.

They must also provide the serial number of the qualifying iPhone. The serial number can be found through the device's Settings menu.

The settlement website provides several payment options. These include PayPal, Venmo, direct deposit, and check.

Each eligible iPhone can receive only one cash payment. Customers who purchased more than one qualifying device must file a separate claim for each iPhone.

Who Is Eligible For the Apple Settlement?

The settlement applies to certain iPhones purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.

Eligible devices include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models.

The person submitting the claim must have originally purchased the device. The iPhone must have been bought for personal or professional use. Devices purchased for resale are not covered by the settlement.

Customers who are uncertain about their eligibility can contact the settlement administrator for additional information.

How Much Could Apple Settlement Claimants Receive?

According to CBS News, the initial payment for a valid claim is expected to be $25 per eligible device.

However, that amount is not guaranteed to remain the same. The settlement website says payments could reach as much as $95.

The final payout will depend on several factors. These include the total number of valid claims submitted.

As a result, eligible customers should not assume they will automatically receive the maximum $95 payment.

Last year, the tech titan settled a Siri snooping case for $95 million. This means that the company is secretly recording audio without user consent. Affected device owners got their payout at that time.

Apple Settlement Claim Deadline

Eligible iPhone owners have until December 21, 2026, to submit a claim.

A federal court in San Jose, California, is scheduled to hold a hearing on February 24, 2027. The hearing will consider whether to grant final approval to the settlement.

Payments will depend on the court's decision. Appeals could also affect when eligible customers receive their money.

If there is no appeal, the settlement administrator says payments will be processed promptly after the settlement becomes effective.
