On July 30th, according to the China Automotive Standardization Institute, on July 29th, 2026, the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (SAC/TC114/SC34) will join hands with the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to co-host the "First Meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Intelligent Connected Vehicle Specifications and Standardization in 2026" in Beijing. Under the framework of Sino-German cooperation on intelligent connected vehicles, representatives from both sides will engage in in-depth exchanges on topics such as research progress and implementation experiences in standards and regulations, and initiate joint Sino-German research projects. At the meeting, experts from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), the Equipment Center, as well as companies such as BMW, TÜV Rheinland, and Bosch, will share information on topics including China's pilot programs for intelligent connected vehicle market access, the European DCAS framework, safety assurance for combined driving assistance, EU automotive data regulation practices, parking standard planning, and global regulatory adaptation. In addition, both sides will also launch a research project on the standardization needs for cross-border data flows in the automotive sector.
