On July 27, Porsche declared that it had forged an agreement with the trade union regarding a future development blueprint. The company plans to pour a cumulative total of 2.1 billion euros into its manufacturing facilities located in Zuffenhausen and Weissach, both situated in Stuttgart, Germany, by the year 2035. Concurrently, Porsche unveiled a series of strategies aimed at curbing labor expenses and boosting plant flexibility as well as production efficiency. These strategies encompass the reduction of 5,000 jobs in a manner that upholds social responsibility by 2035, primarily achieved through natural workforce attrition, the expansion of special retirement schemes, and voluntary departure accords.
