On July 21, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) disclosed that Nissan North America has launched a recall campaign for specific vehicle models. This includes the Armada, produced from 2020 to 2026 and fitted with 22-inch wheels, the Infiniti QX56 from 2011 to 2013, and the Infiniti QX80 from 2014 to 2027. In total, around 168,000 vehicles are affected. The recall stems from an error in the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) labeling on the vehicle certification label. Such inaccuracies could potentially result in vehicle overloading, thereby heightening the likelihood of a collision.
