On July 17, figures unveiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) revealed that, spanning from January to June in 2026, the combined sales tally of the top 10 automakers (or groups) surged to 12.649 million vehicles, securing a substantial 84.2% slice of the overall automobile sales pie. Notably, SAIC Motor, BYD, and Geely Holding clinched the top three spots. In comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year, Geely Holding, Chery Holding, GAC Group, and Great Wall Motor witnessed a surge in their sales volumes, whereas other entities encountered a downturn.
