On May 30th, Baotou City officially launched its pilot demonstration project focused on the scientific research and testing of hydrogen-powered two-wheeled vehicles. As part of this initiative, 1,000 "Xi Xiao Qing" rare earth hydrogen-powered two-wheeled vehicles, independently developed by China Northern Rare Earth, have been deployed for demonstration purposes. These vehicles are accessible to the public, catering to citizens, public scenarios, and convenience service sectors alike. Leveraging proprietary rare earth solid-state hydrogen storage alloy core materials and low-pressure solid-state hydrogen storage technology, the vehicle ensures a notably low hydrogen storage pressure. Furthermore, it is equipped with an intelligent monitoring platform that enables real-time tracking of crucial indicators such as pressure and temperature. Looking ahead, China Northern Rare Earth envisions the ultimate deployment of 10,000 demonstration vehicles, following a strategic approach of "phased rollout, gradual promotion, and steady expansion."
