According to reports, Hyundai Motor Group has established a specialized department to advance its software-defined factory (SDF) strategy and procure robotic components as part of its plan to deploy Atlas humanoid robots in automotive manufacturing facilities. Recently, the group created a new position to oversee the SDF project and appointed Alpesh Patel, Chief Innovation Officer at the Singapore Innovation Center, to this role.
