On May 23, market research firm Data Power released data indicating that, in April of this year, Chinese automotive brands claimed over 15% of sales within Europe's electric vehicle market for the first time, marking a record high. This achievement underscores the robust demand among European consumers for Chinese-made new energy vehicles. On the 22nd, Bloomberg, citing data from the same firm, reported that sales of pure electric vehicles from Chinese brands, including BYD and Chery, surged to 38,281 units in Europe during April, more than doubling compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, Chinese automakers also demonstrated strong performance in the plug-in hybrid vehicle segment, with sales accounting for nearly 29% of the market in April. Presently, the overall market share of Chinese automotive brands in the European auto market is approaching 10%.
