On May 22, adhering to relevant regulations and their enforcement guidelines, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall proposal with the State Administration for Market Regulation, bearing the recall identification S2026M0058V. The recall is set to commence on May 25, 2026, encompassing certain N7 vehicles from the 2025-2026 model years, produced between March 28, 2025, and March 11, 2026, totaling 49,465 units. Additionally, the recall includes certain N6 vehicles from the same model years, manufactured from October 21, 2025, to March 18, 2026, amounting to 18,800 units. The root cause of the recall is a design flaw in the accelerator pedal assembly of these vehicles. Prolonged usage leads to wear on the internal friction block, causing interference between the pedal's rotating parts and the support brackets. This results in a suboptimal return of the accelerator pedal, thereby presenting a potential safety risk.
