Following a meeting with former Red Bull Racing team principal Horner in Cannes, BYD is ramping up its negotiations to join the F1 circuit. Sources close to the situation reveal that, after discussions between BYD Executive Vice President Li Ke and Horner, there are intentions for additional dialogues with pertinent F1 executives and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA, the International Automobile Federation). At present, BYD hasn't finalized the exact route for its entry. Options like developing its own power unit, seeking supply chain solutions, or purchasing team shares to be part of the expansion to a 12th team are all still being considered.
