Xiaomi Auto has announced that its cutting-edge high-strength die-cast aluminum-silicon alloy has secured the first-place prize in the prestigious ‘Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award.’ This innovative material has already been successfully integrated into the housings of the Xiaomi Super Motor V8s EVO and V8s models. In contrast to traditional aluminum alloys used in electric drive housings, Xiaomi's alloy obviates the necessity for heat treatment, while significantly enhancing yield strength, tensile strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Moreover, it reduces the weight of the electric drive housing by roughly 10%, enabling the V8s EVO motor to deliver ultra-high torque output and exceptional performance.
