On May 19th, XPENG Motors unveiled that its small-scale Robotaxi test fleet has been actively engaged in road tests across Guangzhou for the past five months. These tests have been instrumental in continuously validating the core functionalities essential for Level 4 autonomous driving, culminating in the fleet's first public appearance on the roads without any camouflage. Utilizing the XPENG GX as the foundational prototype vehicle, the road test fleet has conclusively demonstrated that the second-generation Vehicle-Level Architecture (VLA) is fully capable of achieving Level 4 autonomous driving standards.
