On April 27, Chery and Jaguar Land Rover jointly announced the official launch of their first mass-produced model under the FREELANDER brand—the Freelander 8. This luxury tech-infused all-terrain SUV is designed to mirror the innovative aesthetics of the Concept 97 concept car. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, including Huawei's ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 chip, an 800V high-voltage extended-range platform, and an 896-line LiDAR system, the Freelander 8 sets a new benchmark in the SUV segment. Additionally, it boasts the i-ATS intelligent all-terrain system, ensuring exceptional performance across diverse terrains. The vehicle is slated for release in the Chinese market in the latter half of this year.
