Recently, a screenshot has been making rounds online, asserting that "Tesla Vice President Tao Lin announced the launch of FSD in China on May 1." In reaction to this, Tesla's customer service clarified that the screenshot is a fabrication. They emphasized that there is currently no pertinent information regarding such a launch and that all details should be based on official announcements. The circulating screenshot purported that the FSD intelligent assisted driving system would officially debut in China at midnight on May 1, granting eligible car owners a three-month free trial period, after which a subscription fee of 699 yuan per month would apply. On April 23, Tesla unveiled its financial report for the first quarter of 2026, revealing revenue of 22.4 billion USD (approximately 153.375 billion RMB), which represents a 16% year-on-year increase. Furthermore, in April, Tesla secured approval for intelligent assisted driving in the Netherlands and is actively pushing forward with its launch plans in the Chinese market.
