On April 22, Kai Yu, the CEO of Horizon Robotics, officially unveiled China’s first-ever integrated cockpit-driving vehicle intelligence chip—Horizon Starry6P—at the company’s annual technology product launch event. Manufactured using a cutting-edge 5nm automotive-grade process, the chip boasts an impressive 650 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of computing power and a bandwidth of 273 gigabytes per second (GB/s), while also supporting advanced vehicle intelligence operating systems. Yu emphasized that with the integration of AI models, onboard computing is shifting towards convergence, making the integrated cockpit-driving approach an inevitable trend in the evolution of intelligent driving technologies.

On the same day, Botauto announced that it would become the inaugural contract customer for the Starry chip. The two companies will collaborate closely to drive integrated innovation in AI technology across key areas such as intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving systems.
