Indonesia's local news website Detik quoted an executive from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia as saying that Toyota is collaborating with CATL to produce hybrid vehicle batteries in Indonesia. The project involves an investment of IDR 1.3 trillion, with production to take place at CATL's Karawang factory in West Java Province. The scope includes the manufacturing of battery cells and modules, with plans to commence in the second half of this year.
