Reports indicate that Tesla is mandating buyers of the 'Farewell Edition' Model S and Model X Signature Edition to sign a stringent no-resale agreement, with violators subject to a fine of no less than $50,000. Tesla revealed last week that it would manufacture a limited quantity of these two models as a send-off before discontinuing them this year. The electric vehicle news outlet Electrek mentioned that purchasers of these two models must consent to terms that forbid resale within the first year of ownership. As per the agreement, buyers are prohibited from selling or attempting to sell the vehicle within 12 months of delivery without obtaining Tesla's prior consent.
