BMW (China) Automotive Trading Ltd. has submitted a recall notification to the State Administration for Market Regulation, bearing the recall identifier S2026M0040V. Commencing without delay, the automaker is recalling a specific batch of Rolls-Royce Cullinan vehicles manufactured between January 10, 2020, and March 11, 2024, encompassing a total of 51 units. Owing to manufacturing anomalies, there exists a possibility that the backrest latch brackets or seatbelt mounting bolts for the rear seats in these vehicles were not tightened to the prescribed torque levels. This oversight could, in extreme scenarios, elevate the risk of injury to the vehicle's occupants. To address this issue, BMW will conduct a thorough inspection of the recalled vehicles at no cost to the owners. The company will re-tighten or replace bolts as deemed necessary and will also inspect and, if required, replace any damaged rear seatbelt webbing to ensure the complete eradication of safety hazards.
