Data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) reveals that China exported a total of 1.55 million vehicles during the January-February period of 2026, marking a significant 61% increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, exports in February alone reached 750,000 units, up 79% year-on-year, despite a slight 7% decline from the previous month, showcasing robust overall performance. During this period, the export of new energy vehicles (NEVs) stood out prominently, with February exports hitting 320,000 units, a remarkable 120% surge year-on-year. The cumulative NEV exports from January to February amounted to 670,000 units, reflecting an 88% year-on-year growth.
