On February 24, figures unveiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) revealed that, in January 2026, the top 10 automakers (or automaker groups) collectively sold 1.962 million vehicles, representing a substantial 83.6% share of the total automobile sales volume. When juxtaposed with the sales figures from the corresponding period in the previous year, it was observed that SAIC Group, Geely Holding, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, GAC Group, and Great Wall Motor all witnessed an uptick in their sales. Conversely, the remaining automakers in the top 10 experienced a downturn in their sales performance.
