On February 11 local time, Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo, Alphabet's autonomous driving subsidiary, announced that by the end of 2026, Waymo's weekly paid orders for driverless taxis in the U.S. will surpass 1 million. Additionally, Waymo plans to expand its ride-hailing services to more than 20 cities, including Tokyo and London, by 2026. Earlier this month, Waymo completed a $16 billion funding round, valuing the company at $126 billion post-investment.
