On February 9, Zeekr announced that it would recall certain Zeekr 001 WE 86 version vehicles produced between July 8, 2021, and March 18, 2024, starting from March 6, 2026, totaling 38,277 units. The recall is due to a manufacturing consistency issue in specific batches of power batteries, which may cause an abnormal increase in internal resistance after prolonged use, potentially leading to reduced battery performance and, in extreme cases, posing a thermal runaway safety risk. Zeekr will provide free inspections and cloud-based remote diagnostics for the recalled vehicles and will replace the power batteries free of charge for vehicles that have not yet had their batteries replaced.
